“Attached is a copy of the spine and inscription in my copy of Aikin’s British Poets, 1831.
I wrote to a history professor at Yale, and he confirmed that Jeremiah Day was president of
Yale College (now Yale University) from 1817-1846. I’ve not found any information providing
insight into Mr. Staines.”
