Chinese Proverbs from Olden times
In German:

“Du lieber Gott,
und wenn man auch allen
Sonnenschein wegstreicht,
so gibt es noch den Mond
und die hübschen Sterne
und die Lampe am
Winterabend—
es ist so viel schönes
Licht in der Welt.”

Translation:

“You, dear God
even if the sunshine were blotted out,
there would still be the moon and the stars
and the lamps of winter evenings—
there is so much beautiful light in this world.”

A 1956 copy of Chinese Proverbs From Olden Times translated from the Italian of Rev. Paolo Manna.
